Most of us known better for Casio watches and calculators in most parts of the world, but Casio also makes cameras too. The latest EXILIM Life Style EX-FR10 action camera from Casio’s Exilim is built on a very cool unique innovative styling.
Instead of having an LCD screen flipping around to help you take selfies like some compacts, Casio EXILIM EX-FR10 splits the lens. Separating the lens from the controller so you can take selfies, group shots, back shots, and more, and create fun times. Of course, it isn’t that different when you think about it, but Casio EXILIM EX-FR10 has one more trick up its sleeve, the camera module can be detached for remote shooting.

The camera module of the EX-FR10 connects wirelessly via Bluetooth 2.1, and you can use the 2-inch LCD display as a controller. The EX-FR10 further comes bundled with accessories such as Carabiner strap, Neck strap and Multi-angle clip that let you strap it on your forehead or your wrist so that you can use it like a GoPro.
Casio EXILIM EX-FR10 combines the minimum elements of lens, monitor, and frame. It offer all necessary form that realizes the functions of “shoot”, “view” and “connect” in each individual element. In terms of design, The EX-FR10 aimed to embody the feeling of reliability as an outdoor tool.
Casio EXILIM EX-FR10 have two CPUs, one that performs image processing for photography and one, called the MCU, to save power. The EX-FR10 comes with 3-mode power saving system achieves long-term, full-time connection.
The EX-FR10 dimension about 60.9(W) x 153.1(H) x 34.2(D) mm and weight approximately 175g. Image sensor is 1/2.3-inch CMOS (back-illuminated type) with 16.76 megapixels. Recording media compatible with microSD, microSDHC and microSDXC Memory Card. The camera can take full HD videos at 30 frames per second. Battery life is rated at 4 hours for still shots and 1 hour for video. The camera sports an f/2.8 lens with 4X digital zoom.
